Mixed Martial Arts goes Prime Time!

Just spent the last 2+ hours watching Saturday Night Fights on CBS. I've been eagerly anticipating the Kimbo Slice fight against James Thompson for a week now...and the fight didn't disappoint. Granted, there were some boos after the fight was stopped early, but Kimbo teed off on Thompson...in particular, Thompson's cauliflower ear. That ear looked so nasty pre-fight, like a flesh-colored golf ball lodged in his ear.
Quote of the evening from Kimbo Slice, "I know I busted his ear. The ref did a good job, because I was going to aim for it again."
Kimbo looked so unstoppable toe-to-toe with Thompson, but as soon as he got on the floor, he looked vunerable. He admitted after the fight that he had "a lot to learn." And I think this makes it even more exciting to follow him, because he's going to get better and better. Can't wait for his next fight!!

Random Musings:
I knew I recognized the double-B on Brett "The Grim" Rogers shorts...it's Christopher "Big Black" Boykin's brand. Wondering if he's sponsoring him? After the fight, he was in the background with some of his entourage from MTV's "Rob & Big"...that's what I'm talkin' about, SON! No sign of best friend, Rob Dyrdek.
Really impressed with Gina Carano. I like her muay thai boxing style and is she HOT or what?!
