Julian Hopkins finishes 4th overall in Kugenuma
April 16th, Shonan Spring Amateur Surfing Contest, Kugenuma Beach
With many of the top Shonan amateur surfers entered in this contest, Erosurfer team rider, Julian Hopkins finished 4th out of 30 competitors in the Long Board Division. He won his first two heats, beating the eventual winner of the contest in the first heat, then ended up finishing 4th in the semis. Congrats on a strong performance!

Julian's Debut Postponed
Maruki Point, Kamogawa Beach, Chiba Prefecture
Due to recent typhoon activity off the east coast of Japan on the day of the contest, it has been moved to November 4 - 7. "Conditions were double overhead and totally closing out, no place to ride!!" said a very disappointed Erosurfer. But he's fired up for November. We will keep you updated on his much anticipated first appearance in a professional contest.

Julian Hopkins Joins Erosurfer Ohana
We are proud to announce the addition of top amateur longboarder Julian Hopkins to the Erosurfer Ohana.

FAVORITE SURFER: Bonga Perkins
Julian is currently a 2nd-year student at the esteemed Keio Univ., Hiyoshi campus, where he's studying law. He also can be seen monthly in Fine Surf & Street Magazine. Julian is one of the top amateur longboarders in Japan and has aspirations of turning pro in the near future. He will be competing in 2 amateur events and one professional event this year. We are stoked to have him representing Erosurfer at all surf events he competes in through 2007. We will keep you updated on his progress to the top because that's where this kid's goin'.
